Many dark spot serums lean on brightening acids such as kojic acid. This one is built around mushroom extracts (Shiitake and Turkey Tail) and Jackfruit fruit extract, with gluconolactone, a mild polyhydroxy acid (PHA), and soothing botanicals. Formulated for sensitive skin, and hydrating enough that it doesn't feel like a treatment.

Mushroom and fruit extracts at the core
Lentinus Edodes (Shiitake) and Trametes Versicolor (Turkey Tail) mushroom extracts, with Artocarpus Heterophyllus (Jackfruit) fruit extract, selected to help even the appearance of skin tone as part of a regular routine.

Hydration first, then tone
Hydration sets the stage for targeted work on the appearance of dark spots. Skin that's dry doesn't respond well to anything.

Soothing built in
Crithmum Maritimum (Sea Fennel) and Calendula for a soothing effect, with Chamomile and Camellia Sinensis alongside. Gentle is what a formula avoids doing. Soothing is something it actively does.

Fragrance free
No added fragrance. If your skin is particular about that, this is one of two in the range built that way.
